Green's Towing & Auto Repair
was established in 1983. Owner and founder George Green had big visions for his shop. It started out as a two-bay shop at the corner of Highway 2 and Route 30, which is now a CVS Pharmacy™. While there, he sold truck caps and gas, did all types of auto repairs, and provided towing.
George bought property 1/8-mile north of the old 76 Station at 458 S Washington Street, where he built a four-bay repair facility and towing yard. With three full-time, ASE-certified mechanics and three tow truck drivers, he established a well-known, reputable repair shop and light- and heavy-duty towing operation.
George passed away in October 2006, though the business continues. It is still family owned by his two children, Erin and Jeff.
